Oklatom and Sin72 are right on the money. If your battery is dying then you may want to look at your battery and not a toggle switch. If you have an aftermarket head unit already, the power antenna wire (if the radio doesnt have a remote out) can go to the remote input of the amp and turn it on when you turn on your radio. Yes relays are cool to use when you are turning on multiple amps but for just one, you wont need a relay.

Still in all, your best thing to do and least time consuming is to inspect your battery/alternator system. That's where your problem most likely will be.

no all you do is spit the remote wire in half and connect both sides of the remote wire to the toggle, no need for a fuse i have this done on my car i use the toggle sometimes when i dont wanna hear my subs just the treble

Here's your answer

Run a fused (1 amp) wire from the ACC to the toggle then to the REM on the amp. This allows you full control and you never have to worry about forgetting to turn off the amp.

if your batter keeps dieing while you are listening to your stero while driving.... upgrade the battery and generator/alternator....

if the subs/amps are draining the battery while your parked and car turned off.... your going to get a flat battery anyway.... buy a second battery

if your stereo has a "remote" wire..... usually connected upto the elec arial or car cellphone unit.... run this through a relay and onto your amps... if your amps have a remote in.... you dont need the relay.... if you dont know how to connect a relay up..... get someone who knows how to.... unless your plain lucky.... you might blow your stero, amps and even worse... your car

if you dont have remote sockets in your stereo and amps.... just connect up the toggle switch thru a relay then onto the amps.... DO NOT power toggle switches from the battery.... use a wire from your low amperage accessories... thats why you should have a relay

Make sure you put a fuse block on it . Put a capaciter in there for it and it may help with the battery drain but your battery should hold up fine . It may be the reason it dies.

You would need to put it on the powerline in between the radio and the subs.

What good do you think a toggle switch will do? Obviously the amps are taking more out of the battery than your alternator can put back in. Upgrade your alternator or get smaller amps.
