And not to sound like I am a drug pusher but there is a product called singulair that has smaller, chewable (very tasty!!) doses for children. They work wonders for me and my younger siblings (Our house is a fun place at the beginning of spring before prescriptions are filled ) An air purifier would be much better for your children. If the kids are old enough to eat honey, find an apiary as close to your home as possible. Give your kids a spoonful of local honey in the morning and at night before they go to bed. After about 1 to 2 weeks you should notice a difference in the allergies. Personal experience. My father was suseptible to hay fever bad and if he didnt do this technique he would suffer horribly. Also, a co workers kids are also allergic and he is trying this now and said his sons skin problems from allergies are clearing up after 1 week.
