If you're saying that the Accord would be 1-2 grand more than the tC, than it must be the bare minimum accord with no options at all in it. And that's before the dealers jack up the price some. I have an 05 tC and have had minimal issues with it, and absolutely love the car. I haven't seen much about the new Accord, but you really can't compare the vehicles, being that the Accord is a midsize and the tC is a compact. If you were to package the Accord with the things the tC has, it would cost around $25,000, and for that much, you could easily get things a ton of options installed on the tC. As far as the people saying the tC is for teenagers, it is one of the youngest driven vehicles on the road, but the average age of driver is 28-32. In my opinion, I'd say go with the tC, not because I have one, but because you will be treated much fairer at the dealers and Toyota is much more lenient with warranty work and pay than Honda is.

Peter-

I own a 2007 TC- TRD Edition. This was a fairly pricey version of the car, but its what my wife and I wanted.

The '07's that are left are going to run you about $16K to obtain. That is just the Manual Transmission one like I have.

The Accord is an overpriced vehicle. If you look at the features that come on the Tc Standard, you will see why I wen this route vs. the Honda.

There is nothing wrong with either vehicle, just in this case the Tc offers a little more for your money.

With the Manual Transmission, you are going to need a little time to get used to the clutch though.

And... as for the moonroof, that is standard equipment on all Tc's. You cannot buy one without it.

Heck I am 35, and I love my Tc.

It was a hard choice between the Honda and the Tc though. But when it came down to the final choice between the two, and the addition of the supercharger, all I have to say, is the Honda took the back seat this time.

Just keep in mind, the Tc is equipped like a Rally Car, closer to the Subaru WRX-Ti, Mitsubishi Lancer EVO, and the Hyundai Tiburon GT. Nissan and Honda do not really have anything in this class because they do not compete in road rally races like the Toyota Grand Prix Serices and SCRAMP.

Subaru, Mitsu, Toyota, Hyundai, and Mazda all compete in this area. Nissan will be competeing next year if they get the approval for Skyline into the U.S.!

Anyhow the 1k to 2k you are going to save on the Tc allows you to get a few more options, and that is precisely what I did.

Good Luck!

You're a lot better off getting the 2008 Scion tC instead of the 2007 Honda Accord.

Accord Faster than a TC your on some crack man. The tC is about a half second faster in the quarter mile.

But anyway it all depends on what your looking for. The TC is very very well equipped for its price and the looks (though subjective) are unmatched for a car in its price range. Not to mention the Resale value on the TC is VERY high. The car is very quick and has a very nice 2nd gear pull. The only real drawback to the TC is tires. Due to the fact that is has 215/45/17 tires that are V or Z rated depending on which tire option you buy the Tires wear out pretty quickly and are a bit pricey. The Accord on the other hand is a Very good car as well. The coupe is sleek and very stylish but the 4 Cyl leaves me wanting a bit more for a car like that. Its also pretty quick. Both Cars ride very nice are backed with Manufacturer reliabilty and are comparable in price. Its pretty much up to you to make the decision

The 2008 accord coupe it best-its much bigger and smoother than the Tc, and it does better fuel economy (the diesel option can even do 52mpg in a few months). It looks more expensive, like an accura TL, too.
