		<description>Assuming you mean an electric grinder you want to use it in short, quick bursts. Holding the button down so the blade spins constantly until you get to your desired grind will cause the blade to heat up through friction and alter the oils released by the beans in the grinding process (a process which usually causes essential oils, the place flavors and smells come from, to evaporate). This smells great, but you really want those flavor compounds to end up in the brewed coffee and not floating around in the air before you even start to brew.

If you're talking about a manual grinder you just dump the beans in the hopper, set the distance between the grinding teeth to get the desired grind, then crank away until the beans are all ground and the drawer (or whatever recepticle the model you're working with has) is full.</description>
